This church, situated in a majority white area, take a Maverick approach to addressing their history as well as building awareness and tackling racial justice. This church does not restrict their activities to just Black History Month, this is a year long commitment.

In this conversation, Joan shares tips on how to make your church more inclusive for everyone and the importance of Black people seeing a representation of Jesus that looks like themselves.
